ROSA ANSCHÜTZ
Rosa Anschütz ist eine Künstlerin, in deren Schaffen Komposition, Installation und Performance vereint wird. Sie verbindet die düstere Atmosphäre von Post-Punk und Cold Wave mit ätherischer Polyphonie und synthgesteuerten Melodien.
Sie hat drei LPs veröffentlicht: „Votive“ (2020), wurde von neun Tonskulpturen begkeitet, die von Votivgaben inspiriert wurden; „Goldener Strom“ (2022), wurde unter anderem in der Deutschen Oper Berlin aufgeführt; und das letzte Album „Interior“ (2024), welches mit neun Stücken, die jeweils von einer von Anschütz handgenähten Paillettenlandschaft begleitet wurden.
Ihre Arbeiten wurden unter anderem im Goethe-Institut Tokio, Mayhem Kopenhagen, Silent Green, der Deutschen Oper Berlin, dem Künstlerhaus Bethanien Berlin, Supersonic Records Paris, Karmen Carmina Straßburg und auf zahlreichen Festivals wie Audioriver Płock, Grauzone Den Haag, Plissken Tavros und dem Donaufestival Krems ausgestellt und aufgeführt. Ihr neuestes Werk ist die Filmmusik zu „How to Be Normal“ und „The Oddness of the Other World“ unter der Regie von Florian Pochlatko. Die Premiere fandt 2025 bei den 75. Berliner Filmfestspielen statt.
Anschütz ist mit ihrem kommenden Album „Sabbatical“, das am 26. September erscheint, beim Label Heartworm Press mit Sitz in Los Angeles unter Vertrag.
Rosa Anschütz is a musician and sound artist whose practice synthesizes composition, installation, and performance. She blends the dark ambiance of post-punk and cold wave with ethereal polyphony and synth-driven melodies.
She has released three LPs: Votive (2020), accompanied by nine clay sculptures inspired by votive offerings; Goldener Strom (2022), which was staged at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin; and Interior (2024), featuring nine tracks, each track accompanied by a sequined landscape hand-stitched by Anschütz.
Her work has been exhibited and performed at venues including the Goethe Institute in Tokyo, Mayhem in Copenhagen, Silent Green, Deutsche Oper, and Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, Supersonic Records in Paris, Karmen
Carmina in Strasbourg, and numerous festivals such as Audioriver in Płock, Grauzine in Den Haag, Plissken in Tavros, and Donaufestival in Krems, to name a few.
Her latest work is the movie score for How to Be Normal and The Oddness of the Other World, directed by Florian Pochlatko. It premieres at the 75th Berlin Film Festival in 2025.
Anschütz is signed to the Los Angeles-based label Heartworm Press with her forthcoming Album Sabbtical, releasing September 26th.
